How To Clean Your Washing Machine with MAO BAO Washing Machine Cleaner By Schelly

MAO BAO Washing Machine CLEANER
No.1 Selling Brand In Taiwan
OXYENATED Formula With Silver Ion Technology
Mao Bao Washing Machine Cleaner
RM 25
Clean your washing machine? Sounds kind of unnecessary doesn’t it? Well, it might sound that way… but on second thought when you think about all the dirt and grime that cycles through your washer on a day-to-day basis, it starts to make a lot more sense!
Me for once is guilty of not knowing that we need to clean our washing machine regularly until… I heard about this amazing powerful washing machine cleaning powder called MAO BAO Washing Machine Cleaner.

You see, I was introduced to the washing machine cleaner by my dear good friend, who ‘enlightened ‘ me on washing machine maintenance and the needs to keep our washing machine dirt-free and smelling fresh and clean.
A clean washing machine is a fresh-smelling machine: if there’s something smelly about yours, it means mould or bacteria-laden residue has been allowed to build up in the inside. Imagine all that dirt, grease, and grime can start to build up on the inside of your washing machine, which can make it less efficient and less effective.

Mao Bao Washing Machine Cleaner By Schelly
3 Sets Per Box
Here’s how to keep your machine dirt-free with Mao Bao Washing Machine Cleaner By Schelly, the No.1 best-selling brand in Taiwan! Each box comes with 3x Cleaning Powder Plus 3x AG+ Silver Ion. It removes up to 99.9% of bacteria, stubborn build-ups, odours, prevents mould and most importantly, keep it clean for your family.
It’s also laboratory-tested (SGS Labs) to ensure no harmful chemicals are used in the making of this product.
MAO BAO Washing Machine Cleaner Powder

The Powerful & Effective AG+ Silver Ion

Why Should We Clean Our Washing Machine Regularly?

Did you know that your washing machine can be as dirty as your toilet? Studies have shown that bacteria and dirt can build-up behind the washing machine’s drum just after a month’s use. The debris from your dirty clothes is accumulated behind the drum over time, where mould and other bacteria can grow and spread exponentially. Not forgetting microorganisms from your dirty clothes, especially underwear and socks.
These are a number of reasons why washing machines can have excessive build up:
  • Frequent use of fabric softener
  • Connection to an outside water tank
  • Higher than average use of machine (eg big family, tradesman’s work clothes etc)
  • Machine is approx 3 years old or older and never cleaned before

How Often Should We Wash Our Washing Machine Regularly?

Well, every washing machine should be cleaned on a monthly basis or at least 3 months once to keep your appliance clean, working efficiently and keep your clothes looking and smelling great. Otherwise, if  you’ve suddenly developed a smelly washing machine, it’s time to clean the washing machine. Haha… that’s really gross by then! 😝😝😝

How To Clean Your Top Loading Washing Machine

Giving your washing machine a good once-over every so often will keep it in peak condition. With MAO BAO Washing Machine Cleaner, the whole process really won’t take long – Just follow these easy steps:
My 12 Years Old Trusty Old
 Top Loading Washing Machine
Empty the washer tub. Turn on the power ON and set the washer to the largest load setting and normal WASH CYCLE.
I have set my top loading washing machine to the highest water level to the max of 90 liter.
I choose the SOAK function for the Cleaning Powder to mix well and soak in the washing machine.
When the washer is full and stops filling water, press ‘PAUSE’, then pour ONE POUCH of  MAO BAO Cleaning Powder together with ONE PACKET AG+ Silver Ion directly into the washer tub (not in the dispenser) and close the cover.
ONE POUCH of  MAO BAO Cleaning Powder

Pour In ONE POUCH of MAO BAO Cleaning Powder
ONE Packet Of AG+ Silver Ion

Followed by ONE Packet Of AG+ Silver Ion
Allow the machine to run or agitate for 5 minutes or more.
Power OFF for the washer and let it sit for 1 to 2 Hours.

See The Video For Yourself

During soaking time, I was so shocked to see the gruesome dirt and grime floating on the water. I can never imagine that there were so much dirt, grease, and grime sitting my dear old 12 years old trusty HITACHI washing machine!
Scroll down for more gruesome discovery I’m sharing on my blog post.
I used a flour sieve to scoop up the endless grime and dirt.

A Closer Shot Of The Dirt & Grime

I placed some on white piece of paper for a clearer photo, so you can see the terrible dirt that was removed from the washing process.
Next, drained the dirty soaking water and set the washer on to the LARGEST LOAD SETTING, and allow the washer to run through its normal cycle of WASH, RINSE & SPIN Cycle to complete the cleaning process.
After draining, there are still lots of the dirt and grimes left in the drum.
1st Wash Cycle
After the first NORMAL WASH cycle, more dirt and grime surface in the water.
After Draining Of The 1st WASH CYCLE
See The Amount Of Dirt & Grime Accumulated In My DIRTY Washing Machine!
I also took the liberty of cleaning and wiping clean all the nooks and crannies of your washer, including the knobs, the lid and the exterior.
While wiping, I removed the lint filter and found more dirt and grime trapped in it.
Overall, I was amazed with the result of MAO BAO Washing Machine Cleaner. All the dirty grime and dirt was removed from my washer machine immediately upon first wash. During the cleaning process, I have to run the WASH CYCLE for 4 times to get a clean water in the drum, just to make sure all dirt and grime are totally cleared from the drum.
I’ll definitely make it a point to regularly use MAO BAO Washing Machine Cleaner to keep my washing machine clean and in top operating condition. Oh yes, I read somewhere that to prevent mould build-up on the seals of the machine, keep the door slightly ajar in between uses. This allows air flow into the machine and allows any water or dampness to dry.
Promo Price of RM 25 per box (NRP: RM33.90)

MAO BAO Washing Machine Cleaner by Schelly can be purchased online at http://ift.tt/2w4iKqC at a promo price of RM 25 per box (NRP: RM33.90) Inclusive of delivery. Totally affordable priced at RM 8.30 Per Cleaning! Future availability at supermarkets will be announced soon.

DI WEI CHINESE CUISINE RESTAURANT At Empire Hotel Subang

Di Wei Chinese Cuisine Restaurant
Executive Chinese Chef Thian Taik Yong
Making His Mark With New Menu
Executive Chinese Chef Thian Taik Yong
Di Wei Chinese Cuisine Restaurant

Di Wei Chinese Cuisine Restaurant of Empire Hotel Subang is launching a brand new menu featuring over 30 new dishes along with its signature favourites. Diners can expect a fresh new look and feel as well as an extended selection of their Seafood, Pork, Chicken, Beef, Vegetables, Vegetarian and noodles dishes plus signature favourites that have made Di Wei an award-winning restaurant known for their mastery of traditional Chinese cuisine. The new menu also includes a dedicated Vegetarian menu featuring 9 wholesome vegetarian dishes.

Sumptuous Brand New Menu

It was my first time dining at Di Wei Chinese Cuisine Restaurant and didn’t know what to expect. But I was very impressed with Executive Chef Thian’s exquisite and well-executed cuisines that make us craves for more that night. He shares that it took the team 3 months to put together the new menu; a compilation that includes popular off-the-menu requests from regulars diners as well as a list of well-loved home-made mom’s cooking favourites.

Frontage Of Di Wei Chinese Cuisine Restaurant
Among the highlights in their new menu are its offering of Sous Vide dishes. According to Chef Thian, very few Chinese restaurants used this technology in their preparation of Chinese cuisine as compared to the Western counterparts.
“Our Sous Vide specialities are cooked using a combination of traditional and Sous Vide technology. There’s a marked difference in the flavour and texture that accurate temperature is applied evenly during the cooking process to maintain perfect texture”.
Attractive Grand-Looking Antique Oriental Chairs
Making his mark with a new menu, Chef Thian tapped into his two decades of culinary experience to create new a la carte dishes for the menu. The restaurant introduces an exciting and new variety of dishes ranging from appetisers and soups to main courses, noodles, rice dishes, as well as desserts.

Poached Vegetables in Soya Milk Broth
Poached Vegetables in Soya Milk Broth
(R) 24.80 (L) 49.60

The meal began on a promising note with  Poached Vegetables in Soya Milk Broth. It was indeed a refreshing change from the usual chicken or pork broth as soya milk was used as the soup instead of a drink.

Poached Vegetables in Soya Milk Broth
Premium quality soya bean was used to prepare the nutritious concentrated soya bean milk. The chef kept the seasoning to a minimum by just adding a tinge of salt and boiled bok choy shoots to sweeten up the broth for a distinctively unique taste.

Deep Fried Fish Skin with Salted Egg Yolk
RM 18.80 Per Portion

Next, another dish that was well received was the Deep Fried Fish Skin with Salted Egg Yolk. The fish skin was crispy and not too oily, complemented with a coating of salted egg yolk sauce. The crispy fish skin was addictive without being cloying.
Deep Fried Homemade Seafood Bean Curd
Deep Fried Homemade Seafood Bean Curd

Deep Fried Homemade Seafood Bean Curd
Deep Fried Homemade Seafood Bean Curd was meticulously in house made by Chef Thian using a mix of fish paste, pork paste and shrimps wrapped with house made egg tofu. A concoction of 10 eggs, 5 egg yolks and 1 kg soybean milk goes into the making of the egg tofu. This dish went well with the fried dry shrimps, garlic and dry chillies.

Deep Fried Thousand Layer Bean Curd
Deep Fried Thousand Layer Bean Curd
(R) RM 26 (L) RM 52
Per Portion

The Deep Fried Thousand Layer Bean Curd featured 2 simple ingredients of eggs and fish paste. Chef Thian’s modern and innovative cooking-style is interesting as he elevates traditional dishes and tweaks them to include contemporary flavours.
Deep Fried Thousand Layer Bean Curd
A tedious process to create an alternating layer of silken steamed eggs and fish paste. For this dish, the first layer of egg needs to be steamed first and then once it is set, a thin layer of fish paste placed on top of the egg. This process is repeated again until there are three layers of eggs with two layers of fish paste.
The final outcome is simply amazing with melt-in-mouth soft and smooth egg custard layered with fish paste in between.  It was love at first bite for everyone at the dinner table that day. Impressive dish and highly recommended ‘Must-Try’ dish! 😍😍😍

Next, pork lovers will enjoy this Pan Fried Pork Neck with Homemade Sauce. The execution is simple for this dish by using only simple ingredients such as scallions, shallots and ginger blended into a paste to marinate the pork neck for a day to let the flavour seeps through. It’s deep-fried to perfection and torching it lightly for the charred effect prior to serving.

Another memorable dish was the Braised Tendon with Meat Balls & Sea Cucumber in Claypot. This sumptuous dish had the premium Topaz sea cucumber, in-house made meat balls and pork tendons braised in the superior sauce for long hours for the sea cucumber to soak up the sauce.

To top off the meal, we had the juicy and tender Steamed Spare Ribs with Homemade Sauce. The fork-tender pork ribs were so perfectly cooked in the house made sauce that it literally melted in our mouths and proved to be one of the best pork dishes we had tasted.
Hot Pot Fried Rice (R) RM18 (L) RM36

(R) RM18 (L) RM36
In the midst of all this meatiness, you also have some rice dishes which, in keeping with the theme, it’s absolutely delicious to eat. Chef Thian’s Hot Pot Fried Rice consists a variety of healthy ingredients that include red rice, corn, chopped carrots, mushroom, broccoli stems, pine nuts and egg (optional for vegan).

Hot Pot Fried Rice (R) RM18 (L) RM36
For me, it’s carby, delicious and nutritious, too. I enjoyed munching away this nutrients rich rice dish without any guilt and Chef added that his creation is good as a vegetarian dish. The best combination for a hearty meal!

To end the evening on a healthy note, we were served Purple Sweet Potato With Pumpkin Cream which resembled a pretty purple flower. The dessert was not too sweet and pumpkin cream complemented the sweet potato well.

Dim Sum & Hong Kong Cuisine At Oriental Chinese Cuisine Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar

 Oriental Chinese Cuisine
Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar
Delighting Diners With Dim Sum & Hong Kong Cuisine
Dim Sum & Hong Kong Cuisine
Oriental Chinese Cuisine
Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar

Dim sum, these are bite-sized treats that warm the heart and I’ll never miss dim sum tasting session when invited. Recently I was at Oriental Chinese Cuisine, Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar to sample Chef Ng Ming Wai’s dim sum dishes from his range of delectable authentic recipes.
Chef Ng Ming Wai’s Delectable Range Of Dim Sum Dishes

For me, a well-prepared dim sum evokes a feeling of comfort and warmth that radiates throughout your body as you consume the savoury and sweet morsels. Dim sum certainly does not have to be boring or unimaginative. Chef Ng’s dim sum is interesting and innovative as he elevates traditional dim sum and tweaks them to include contemporary flavours.
How does Green Tea Bun with Salted Egg Yolk Custard Cream sound to you? or maybe Spicy Szechuan Chicken Dumplings or Cheong Fun with Yu Zha Gui?

Oriental Chinese Cuisine located on Level 1 of the hotel, the restaurant has private dining rooms which cater to small groups of up to 30 persons and the restaurant wide space can comfortably sit up to 220 persons.

Spacious & Comfortable Private Dining Room
Although the restaurant is popular during lunch and dinner, it is also suitable for private, intimate functions which can be arranged upon reservation confirmation.

Wide Space Caters Up To 220 Diners
 Fresh Prawn Sui Mai
RM 15
We started with the Steam items which was my favourite Siu Mai selections. My top pick was the  Fresh Prawn Sui Mai. One can be utterly happy with just having a plate or two of this all to oneself. The fresh prawn was succulent and firm, being the right size because anything bigger cannot be regarded as ‘dainty’ and anything smaller would be stingy.

Dried Scallop Siu Mai
RM 16
Another dish that was a highlight was the Dried Scallop Siu Ma topped shredded dried scallop and tobiko for the premium touch. You’ll be delighted with the firm prawns and tender steamed pork filling accented by the profound flavour and savouriness of the dried scallop.

Steamed Caviar Siu Mai
RM 16

Next is another Seafood Siu Mai again – Steamed Caviar Siu Mai. Devoid of its usual sickly-sweet porky aroma, this Caviar Siu Mai was a juicy kick chicken and prawns wrapped in wonton skin. Savour the little bits of the caviar that give the Siu Mai the different taste and texture.

Others seafood based Siu Mai in the menu are Tobiko Lobster Siu Mai, Foie Gras Siu Mai, and mini Abalone Siu Mai to excite your taste buds.

Spicy Szechuan Chicken Dumplings
RM 10

The Spicy Szechuan Chicken Dumplings was something out of the norm, you rarely get to try this in the local dim sum restaurants. The plump size chicken dumplings were pepped up with the spicy and sourish sauce it’s served with.
Crispy Seafood Roll with Cheese
RM 18

Innovative dim sum, Crispy Seafood Roll with Cheese had seafood wrapped in fine vermicelli, deep fried and served topped with cheese and curry flavoured sauces. Crispy and crunchy, it’s the perfect word to describe this deep-fried dim sum item.
Preserved Vegetables with Roasted Duck Bun
RM 12
Preserved Vegetables with Roasted Duck Bun was my hubby’s favourite bun for the day. This special bun has preserved vegetable and minced roasted duck in the filling which strikes a balance of sweet and salty.

Enjoy two different texture of the bun – with a soft top and a crispy and slightly charred bottom. Best eaten while it’s still warm, otherwise, the bun will lose its softness and become chewy while the bottom part will be less crispy.
Cheung Fun Rice Noodles With Yu Zha Gui
RM 12
The  Cheung Fun Rice Noodles With Yu Zha Gui – also known a Yau Char Kwai was a dish given a twist, as it is filled with deep-fried Chinese crullers that give the dish a different taste and texture.  I recommend you eat this dish as soon as it’s served to you as the crullers tend to soak up the soy sauce and leaving you salty rice noodles with crullers.
I have this unpleasant experience as you can see from this photo above because I left it too long after the ‘camera-eat’ session. Oh yes, do remember to try the dipping chilli oil for some spicy kick to the plain rice noodles!

Signature Pearl Glutinous Rice wrapped with Lotus Leaf
RM 15

If you have stomach for more, do check out the Signature Pearl Glutinous Rice wrapped with Lotus Leaf. It was an interesting dish to savour as it’s fragrant and strong flavour including the freshly steamed glutinous rice and roast duck meat offering within, veered us off our dim sum adventure.

After indulging in that nonetheless appetising dish, the Chilled Durian Pancake and  Green Tea Bun With Salted Egg Yolk Custard Cream were a welcome sight to end our satisfying dim sum meal.
Chilled Durian Pancake
RM 22
Durian lovers must try the Chilled Durian Pancake. Their signature Chilled Musang King Pancake has the creamiest filling of the fragrant Musang King. A sinful treat and if you’re feeling guilty – do share this durian-licious dessert with a like-minded diner who’s crazy over Musang King durian too. I was told that they perfected the dessert to getting the thinnest layer of pancake to wrap up the dessert.
Green Tea Bun With Salted Egg Yolk Custard Cream
RM 12

Last but not least, there were other sweet treats such as Green Tea Bun With Salted Egg Yolk Custard Cream. The green tea bun with salted egg yolk custard was a rich, creamy and a great war treat. Go for this if you like it sweet.
Apart from the dim sum dishes, the restaurant offers a great selection of ala menu focusing on seafood dishes. We found that their chicken, duck and fish dishes are cheaper as compare to any other hotel by the standard.
A whole homemade roasted duck only RM 98 while their steamed whole Village chicken cost only RM 85, this is a good deal for many out there. The Giant Tiger Grouper clay pot dishes were a steal too – costing RM 58 per serving!
